First post on here after picking up my new 2 year old Taycan Turbo (MY22) a few days ago. Pleasantly surprised with the range after a drive down from Lancaster to south Midlands via M6 (168 miles) using only 56% of the charge – ok I wasnt clogging it (70 ish plus a bit), but that is exactly what I got in similar circumstances on my Tesla M3 long range (same temperature, same driving speeds, weather etc).

Getting to grips with the info on the car's displays but one question comes up. Is there anyway to see how many KWs are put into the battery when it charges, or is there a history display of charges in the car (or My Porsche app)? I spend a lot of time charging in a Marina, so using the 16A/32A commando type sockets on bollards which dont show how much power I am taking. With my Tesla, I was using a 3rd party App (TeslaFI) which nicely recorded all the data and I could copy and paste that to pay the marina exactly what I had used. Now it looks like I can only guesstimate from the difference in state of charge (before and after) but there is no record. I've searched the forum but not found any relevent threads. Am I missing something on the car display - or are there any 3rd party apps of any use?

Brilliant car. Blows away the Tesla. What have I been missing?

I'm sure there will many more questions to follow.

Good to know but don’t see how you can compare the 2 cars. One is an overpriced mass product, the other is an overpriced driver’s car…

not sure that was what the OP was asking or implying ……

@Dr Bob do you access the ‘bollard’ with an app, presumably there is a log on to charge or is it free for all as with some car parks? Only thing I can think of is to do a calc of kw per % state of charge and then just take a screen shot before and after…. a bit protracted but that may be the answer until one of the better informed can confirm if there is a menu onboard that records/states kw drawn.

Hanny, No there is no app for the bollard. Its just an 'unmonitored' bollard that I can plug into and the marina manager lets me do it on trust. With the Tesla, I had the recorded KWs so I could confirm exactly what I had taken. With the Taycan, I will just say I have taken xKW and let him trust me!
Thanks for the input.

Of course you can compare the two. A you say, one is a mass market car and the other a drivers car. What a difference!
