Emergency port release--how to reset/retract after usage?

After a protracted EA debacle today, I found my charging port would not release and was accompanied by the light adjacent to it, illuminated red.
I tried locking/unlocking and starting/ stopping, but I finally resorted to the emergency release tab. It now remains in its extended (non-retracted)state. The manual appears to be silent regarding resetting it, although there is a reference to seeing "your Porsche partner".
Anyone know how to get it to retract/reset?

You need to push the cord back into the hole and then press the button back in. It is hard to do with fat fingers so I use a needle nose pliers. Or if you have a five year old running around you can get them to do it as their fingers are small enough.
