I jumped straight to the bottom, and still didn't see the Taycan.
FWIW, I had to charge my car to full earlier today - estimated range at 100% SoC was 213 miles. I used ~17% for 37 mi (aborted ski trip ), which comes to a revised range of ~217mi. <checks something quick> Yeah, that's not gonna make top 20 either.

Well in that case, I'm trading in my Taycan for a VinFast!

Some of those rankings are especially absurd, for example, extrapolating from the ratios below, an AWD Polestar 2 is getting about 215 miles of range at interstate speeds, as opposed to the 320 in the chart.

https://www.caranddriver.com/polestar/polestar-2
"The single-motor model has an estimated range of 320 miles with 19-inch wheels, however, that drops to 307 miles when equipped with 20-inch wheels. The dual-motor Polestar 2 is rated at 276 miles when wearing 19-inch wheels, 266 miles on 20-inch wheels, and finally, the Polestar 2 dual-motor Performance gets an EPA-estimated 247 miles of driving. The single-motor Polestar 2 Plus we tested eked out 250 miles of range on our 75-mph real-world highway route."

it would be interesting for all forum members to submit their range experiences so we see a real picture. My 4s with extended battery is 200- 210miles dropping in cold weather. I have had 3 other taycans this year and ones with single motor had 240-250 miles tops. I guess the computer is an estimate that you never want to get too close to.... but has anyone seriously got more than 250 miles in normal driving conditions below 20 C ? In other words is the computer being really cautious?

Yes. With a large dose of qualifiers thrown in. A recent drive (120 miles) on flat roads, starting out a little below 20C and rising to 24C, at speeds generally between 50 & 75 mph with minimal stop and go, resulted in consumption of 3.5 miles/kWh. (This was calculated from the % of battery used and actual miles driven. The app showed an always optimistic number of 3.7miles/kWh). So 86.7 kWh available in a new battery, my 92.5% SoH, and leaving 5% at the top and bottom (charging from 95% to 100% takes too long and no one wants to go under 5% out on the road). So that leaves roughly 72 kWh available. At 3.5 miles/kWh my useful range is 252 miles. Assuming you are comfortable driving down to 5% remaining, that the efficiency remained constant, and the battery drain is linear then yes, 250 miles is possible at 20C. The conditions/driving were not the best, but close. Throw in some cold weather, hills, and driving it like a Porsche and no, 250 is unlikely. On road trips, when the GOM has adjusted for highway driving, the calculated range at 100% is seldom better than 240 miles in warm weather and the GOM has proven to be pretty accurate so long as the driving conditions don't change. As the saying goes YMMV.

My 2021 4 s with extended range is just over two years old, 13,000 miles, and living in the west of Ireland the temperature is usually in the 10- 20c range. My winter range as far as I can see having gone through two now is 220-240miles and the rest of the year is 240-275. I find the Taycan GOM pretty accurate unlike my wife's Mach E extended range which with a bigger battery than the Taycan is averaging around 200miles this winter and around 250-270 in summer. The Taycan is simply a joy to drive and I cant imagine owing any other car now.

I have owned 3 Tesla over the last 7 years (S, 3 and Y) but now recently drive a Taycan 4S CT. I can only say I never felt range anxiety during that time, due not just to the superb charging network, but especially the fantastic integration of the SW with these when journey planning. This is simple very poor with the MyPorsche App and even when I talked to the Porsche expert at my dealer she advice to use ZapMap instead (also very poor). I note in the table most of the top twenty are ‘new’ car makers but it won’t stop there. The way these ‘new’ cars interact with you (the driver) and their own apps is simply in a different league to the legacy car makers and the experience of living with them superb. I bought a Taycan because it gets great reviews. I also felt the need for a switch from Tesla (new experience). If that was a wise decision is TBD While I love with the joy of getting in and out of a Porsche not enough driving experience yet) I have stepped back in time on the SW side which is extremely unsophisticated. I will know in 6 months

I’m in a 20 4s big battery,34k my range normally 280 summer 230-40 winter
Last month I’m down to 170-180 took me 4 charges to go 400 miles the other day.all be it in -4-2 degrees was getting 140 max.
never had range anxiety in 3 years but this was getting uncomfortable.
Had battery checked in November as part of warranty check all fine!
Waiting for Porsche to call back. Have a friend with exactly same ranges.
This is not looking good if it’s not a faulty battery.

More likely driving our Taycan we have to plan the first charge after 180 miles to avoid:
Issues or queues at the charger destination
Be able to move to the next charger in case the above applies.
This said I never drive the Taycan when my destination is over 100 miles. I want to be able to go back and forth with once full charge.
I am driving EVs since 2020 and I still think I would be a fool to have only one EV for all my needs.
With this approach I really love my Taycan and never experience range anxiety nor have to care about the crappy charging points around UK. God save the King.
