Annoying sound with AC on

Yea just heard this sound today since I’ve been running AC more lately with the heat.

Good to know others hear this so it’s not a one off. Anyone found a fix? I’m debating some wd40 would likely cure it.

Wonderful. It reminds me of the sound of bad springs on a 1986 Buick Skylark ? I guess I'll just try to put up with it. My buddy just got a 4S and he has no sound. So while it's probably common, it's not universal. His is a 2021 though. I wonder if maybe they addressed it on newer production cars.

My 2021 Turbo has it. Going in for service Wednesday, will keep you posted.

Don't like the sound of that. My Taycan 4S doesn't make that sound.

When my A/C is on, I can definitely hear the fan speed running (both cabin and cooled seats), but never a glitchy sound like posted. Pls let us know what happens.

My appointment yesterday was postponed, so won't get it to the dealer for another week and a half. Hopefully they'll have a fix. Will keep you posted

Just got my car back from the dealer. No more rattle. it was a servo motor, which threw a few codes which were stored in my AC control unit. Never displayed on the dash. They auto coded the AC control unit and at least for the last few hours since I picked it up, no noise. here are the codes listed: B108D09, B116A09 and B116909 stored in A/C control unit. they auto coded vehicle and calibrated all servo motors and cleared faults.

UPDATE: Noise is back, car is at dealer. This time the care notified me of a "climate control error". Will keep you posted.

Ugh, that's too bad. Thank you for the update-- I am going back to service for this in a couple of weeks-- I pushed my appointment because I needed a break to try and enjoy the car Thanks again.

OK!! Update to my other posts. Car is back from dealer. Porsche tech (from Porsche not dealer) checked car and said noise is NORMAL. I personally don’t believe it, but I do think they just have no idea how to eliminate it. Annoying.

thanks for the update. That's too bad, but TBH, that noise is annoying but not as annoying as the rattles-- I can mostly ignore the AC noise because it's so low, but the rattles I have on city streets are ridiculous.

I have noticed this clicking noise too when the a/c is running. Oddly it seems to be more noticeable recently. It is not a fan noise but more like an electrical switch turning on an off. Since it comes from around the central clock, it sounds like the clock is malfunctioning but this is not the case.

This is my first post. My car has the same clicking noise. It is exactly the same sound as the one from the audio file uploaded by OSCH.

I took delivery of the Turbo this past June (2021 model) and I have been driving daily since then (for about 3 months now).

In my case, the A/C has always been ON (very low or low setting) (it is pretty hot here in South Korea in the summer months).

Until very recently there had been no such noise (at least I did not notice it). But now, the noise is unmistakable. It is faint but a bit annoying.
