Charged for the first time today at a Tesla Supercharger. Getting ready for a trip, so wanted to make sure it worked and that I had the process down. It was easy and worked right away. Took some pictures and the setup of the pedestals allowed me to easily get close enough to not put any strain on the cable. Had a high state of charge, so only got 75 kW and charging started within 30 seconds or so of plugging in. Used the Tesla app to charge because even though I added the address for the station in the PCM, it didn’t show any chargers on the screen. I have the latest version of the My Porsche app, so not sure what’s up.

Thank you for your report. I have the adapter but not tried yet. My expectation that Tesla app should not be needed, but looks like necessary as a backup, otherwise the idea is that PCM and My Porsche app does the finding, preheating of the battery, and the billing and the car does the plug-n-charge.

How did the charge start?
- Automatically (Plug and charge)?
- Via the Porsche app?
- Via the Tesler app?

I want to test Plug and Charge at my local Tesler Supercharger, but I haven't had my car since 10/20.

I feel you. My Taycan's heat gave out about a month ago. Still at the dealer, awaiting for more parts (in addition to HV heater, needs some additional parts).

Hmmm.... given my limited experience, Taycans seem to get home sick around the end of the year, yearning to spend holidays amongst other Porsches. Unless you have another dozen Porsches in your garage, it's lonely for your Taycan, so it does what it can to spend time with its compatriots at the dealer. This has been true for my Taycan last year, and this year. I also seem to see a lot more service visits reported here at the end of the year.

Started via the Tesla app. I wasn’t able to see the station on My Porsche app. I typed the address of the station into the PCM and it took me straight there, but I did not see the chargers on the PCM. I plugged in and started the charge through my account on the Tesla app.

I can’t blame my CT for wanting to spend a little while in here:

Given you CT's proclivities for wildlife, perhaps it would prefer a ring track in forest. ;)
That’s probably what everyone at the dealership is thinking given the extensive grime from driving through lots of snowfall recently to ski Mt Washington!

Meanwhile, after driving only about five minutes this morning in Yonkers, fell in behind a Taycan Turbo S sedan in a classy shade of forest green.

So since I was there for the heater, figured I’d have the dealer do the 60k service also.
Sure my local Porsche indie would cost less, and I have total faith in him, but if anything more serious needs to be done, I have that extended vehicle service plan with which the dealer claims to have a good relationship (although of course they’re also the sales agent).

The recommended alignment isn’t too high of a Porsche Tax, but that wheel balancing?!?
(Plus all my tires have been mounted within the last year anyway, all at 9/32 in the inspection video, which is kind of amusing since they’re from three different sources.)

I used the Tesla Supercharge few times last week through Tesla app. But my problem is, it was only pulling under 40 kW. I need to go back to dealer and find out the problem.

Unless your car includes the 400V/150KW option, 50KW is the max possible on a Supercharger.
