My RWD was built in April 2022 and has colored icons. I just received a letter from Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) to schedule the big software uPdate. I emailed the Service Manager at my dealership to schedule an appointment, and he replied with the following:
"Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, Porsche currently has a software anomaly with the latest software release to all the dealers PIWIS testers (diagnostic/programming tool). We are unable to communicate with the vehicles currently. As you can imagine, not a good thing for us service folks and our clients. Please be patient as they diligently work thru this. Once we get word of a fix we can reach out and schedule a time for repair/update. If you have not heard from us in a week or so please do not hesitate to reach out."
So, there's apparently an issue with the software that checks the software. Makes me wonder if this impacts all of y'all that already got the uPdate ... and if this can be fixed in a week or less ...
