I recommend a used Taycan 4S with all performance options. I have had one for nearly 4 years now and continue to love it.

I test drive cars frequently, always looking for something I like better.

Every time I think I may be bored and need a new car fix, I drive the Taycan and wonder how anything could be better. The build quality and performance is unmatched.

This one is interesting, a lot of spec. Importantly including folding mirrors and surround view which would be the first boxes I’d have ticked:

https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en-GB...n&interior=2-plus-1-rear-seat&order=price_asc

12/21 so MY22. But 54k on the clock, a bit more than I’d like. I’d probably be selling 3 years at ~60-64k, so still well short of 100k warranty limit.

WBAC suggests trade price is £33k ?

The spec ticks all the boxes. Nothing missing there. Surprisingly few cars have Passenger Display, for me the dash looks bare without. Silver and those wheels also nice.
The high mileage is the only downside and probably indicates direct fast charging.
Important to find out what the State of Health is. Just comparing the current charge % against the current miles remaining is a good appropriate indicator. Maximum range new was likely around 240-250.
Your low mileage and low range need means high miles is less of an issue for you and in a few years would soon adjust.
You can probably use the mileage and WBAC value to negotiate hard. Price, Residual Price, Additional Warranty Period, Future Servicing are all things you can try. If swapping your Cayenne is part of the deal there’s also scope there, it boils down to the price to change.

Cayenne will go, even I’m not mad enough to keep two cars for ~2.5k annual mileage ? WBAC will actually offer me more for the Cayenne.

Initially I wasn’t sure about WBAC valuation of this car, as they depreciate all options to zero. But then I ran a PCP quote with 5k/18m and the final payment is coming up at ~£32k. Which suggests WBAC aren’t far off.

The residuals do mean I have to be sure I can live with the boot space. As it will be very costly to get out of in the near term.

Put a call in and was pretty up front with my position. Cars just come in so hasn’t completed any checks yet, but left my details so will hopefully receive the battery health soon.

On the plus side they all seem to want my car given the low mileage. So surprisingly it may help, whereas I was planning to sell to WBAC/etc.

Also looking at this Taycan, it’s ~143 weeks old. Presuming the mileage was covered over the 5 day working week, that’s roughly 60m/day. The bigger concern would be if it wasn’t a 60m daily commute, but regular 250m trips :( Guess the battery SoH will tell us.

One thing about the design of the boot on the saloon is whilst it seems large it narrows to accommodate the spoiler gubbins. The Turismo doesn’t have that constraint.
It’s ok if you have squashy things, you can overcome the electric motor resistance with a delicate shove. Also you have the frunk space which will take a cabin luggage size case. Or a large dog bed.

I’ll have to go and have a look at West London, my nearest OPC. Normally I don’t like doing that as salesman hound you. But their salesman don’t seem to bat an eyelid when a customer walks in ? (I bought my Cayenne through them and it was hard work to get them to take my money).

I have had a BMW 6GC previously, so am used to a boot that is big but hard to get solid stuff in to. On the flip side the Turismo/CTs are in the 50s right now, so for the price difference I could just get an Uber to carry my bags ?

Just seen some pics have been added which show 178m with 81% charge.

That would suggest ~219m at full charge.

Although I’m not sure if thats accurate or if the Taycan adapts the range based on how it was last driven.
