Hey friends, San Diego Taycan owner here.

I took delivery of my 2021 TTS in June of 2021. I assumed that my first service would be due in June of 2023. That's two years.

I saw a post on this forum which I can't seem to find right now regarding 20,000 mile service. This concerns me a bit because my Taycan has like 23,000 miles on it already and it's never notified me that service was needed. My prior vehicles (all 911 Turbo S) would always notify me just prior to service, whether it be due to miles or time. No notifications from the Taycan though.

My service advisor said I should schedule a 20,000 mile service. Wasn't able to reach him, so I drove to the dealership in person. SA wasn't in but another fellow told me that since the car is electric, it's not subject to mile-based service at all, only time-based. So in other words, I'm good until June 2023.

Which is it? Is there a 20k service check or do I just wait until the two year mark?

Thanks!

2 years or 20,000 miles whichever comes first (same logic as any other car) as per the owners handbook / Porsche Good To Know.

Note that Porsche Smart Service (feature of your car if active) will also advise.

My Porsche App also indicates when your service is due BUT I've noticed that this can get wrongly reset following the recent major software updates (this happened to me).

In UK the service interval was 18K miles but this now appears to be a grey area and differs depending on what reference point is used (shouldn't be the case).
