Ok so my Model S is officially dead (hv battery) after 10yr and 307,000km
I want a Taycan. Really. Bad.
but the warranty is worrying me a bit. 8yr/160,000km on the battery.
my S was Teslas original (wanting buyers, obviously) 8yr/unlimited. They’ve subsequently lowered it to 8yr/240,000km.
I’m looking into CPO Taycans, but even if I were to buy new, at the current rate I drive I’d go through the battery warranty in about 5yrs. Are there any high mileage drivers on this forum that can offer their perspective? Yes it seems like most EV makers have settled on 8yr/100,000 miles….but as someone that drives, this is a bit low, especially when considering the switch to a different/first time EV maker
