J1.2 Pollen Filter

Hi,
PCM has told me I need to replace the cabin filter.
I don't have the patience to make what will be a 3 hours round trip to my nearest dealer.
It should be a very easy DIY job, but I want to make sure I get the right part.
J1.2 4S ST, RHD.

Anyone done this - do you have a link for the filter?
I've seen many online at quite different prices. Most are for LHD cars and I want OEM / OEM quality.

Why don’t you just buy it from your OPC, and get them to post it to you.

Should work. Price is a ripoff though, my cost price would be 38.63 EUR+VAT, so you're paying a markup of over 70%. I think would have been better priced in a parts store.

Hi

I was going to change mine because the blower/heater was awful! When I took it out to order a replacement I put it back in a different way and it worked perfectly then. It seemed that the dealer had put it in incorrectly making it useless.
the moral of the story is that if you take the old one out make sure it goes back in the correct way.

Ah, ok didn’t know this. How do you do this?

My filter says needs replacing but going for Porsche service next week.

Would replacing yourself mean any issue maintaining Porsche service history? And would they just charge you to replace anyway if full dealer maintained?

I would tell them you have just replaced it, show them the invoice for the filter.

With my first Taycan, they forgot to reset the PCM after the ARB0 recall to show brake fluid had been changed. I took it back expecting them to plug it into to PIWIS but the tech just came out to the car and changed the date using the touch screen. I didn't watch that closely to see exactly how he did it but it only took him a few seconds

Ok, interested to know detail as ti how to reset. Not going to worry for this service but good to know for the future?
