Loud thump when releasing brakes?

I’m experiencing a loud thumping noise when breaking after Acceleration. This is only happing when I’m in Sport Plus Mode. It is a loud thump would when I release the breaks?
Any thoughts??

Definitely abnormal.

Can you tell if the thump is coming from front or back?

Is anything obviously loose under the car?

Did you run over your mother-in-law?

Haha nope mother-in-law safe.. I think I figured it out. It appears that when the spoiler returns to its nested position it is making a thud sound. I think I can exercise it manually. (Will need to dig in on that to confirm)

Have the same thump (normal mode, didn't try in sport/+...) when braking and took the shop foreman for drive. Said it was the transmission down shifting. Will update when I hear back from the service...

Is this on an incline? Does the instrument panel have the "Hold" indicator when this happens? The only time that I've had this happen is when I'm stopping on an incline and the thumb is the break engaging to hold the car in place.

If this was a thumb during hard acceleration, then it would be because of the transmission shift, but what you're describing doesn't sounds like this is the case.
