Taycan 4SCT after 3.5 months and 5,000 km.
120% happy after waiting 13 months from order to Australian delivery and reading about innumerable issues on this forum, so posting a contrary view of my experience so far.
Beautiful car, superb styling (unlike Macan, Cayenne). Attracts a lot of attention and comment. Although I chose CT for practical reasons, I now prefer styling to the sedan.
Ideal sports and family car. I’m 187cm, loads of headroom, plenty of room for tall people in back with more than adequate legroom.
Quality finish, no issues whatsoever.
Quiet and very smooth and superb finish
Really comfortable 14 way seats. Love massage function.
Great handling, more brilliant acceleration in normal mode. Launch control unreal.
Rear axle steering makes car very manoeuvrable in tight places.
Innodrive and other driving assistance great. Haven’t tried ParkAssist.
I reckon cameras are great, especially 360 view.
Sports sound is actually useful moving amongst pedestrians and cyclists.
Head-up display really useful. Love speed and navigation display keeping eyes on road.
Panoramic roof – not hot in Australian summer as I had feared.
Bose sound system very good. Glad didn’t spend the huge premium for Burmeister.
PCM a bit quirky but easy to learn and use.
11 kW AC charger more than enough.
Passenger screen great for 12yo son who loves to be DJ and navigator.
Porsche Home Energy Manager great, allows me to “trickle charge” from solar panels rather than exporting back to grid at meagre reimbursement.
Issues so far: minor.
“Electrical System Failure” seen once, resolved by turning off then on again.
PCM rebooted once when driving.
Rear hatch door occasionally freezes when closing without clear explanation.
LTE data connectivity drops out occasionally where my 5G reception on phone is perfect. Wonder why Porsche didn’t provide 5G mobile connectivity.
Home energy manager connection with PMCC has dropped out, requiring rebooting of both and deleting and reconnecting HEM. This forum helped resolve that! TAYCANFORUM IS FANTASTIC
