Loyalty Rewards When Ordering?

Again I ask, do you negotiate when buying a home?

When I bought a house, I offered asking on one home and over on another. I got the one I offered over on for the price of my offer.

For any given home, I’d offer what it was worth to me and if that’s not what it’s worth to the seller, then I’d move on.

What I wouldn’t do is ask for freebies that don’t affect whether or not I buy the home.

I got my house at $50k under asking. It’s all relative.

I may not get a $1k discount on the car, but if they’re willing to give me $1k value stuff that doesn’t actually cost them that much (tinting, maintenance, etc) that’s a way for me to recup some of that money on things I’m going to pay for anyway.

It’s a price they pay for loyalty to the dealership. I have 3 other dealers in town

I don’t know why you feel pushed down unless you’re ashamed of your position.

Since the cars are in high demand with little availability, I’d be happy to get it at MSRP and would consider that a loyalty perk on its own. But I live in CA, where MSRP is a myth

But in all seriousness, dealers hate rim/tire swaps. It costs too much $ for them. A reasonable ask for a gas Porsche would be prepaid maintenance, but maybe for Taycan I'd ask for Wheel & Tire Protection? If that's a no-go, then I'd stick with stuff from the gift shop and all-weather mats.

Both dealers close to me are offering MSRP. Actually this particular dealer is a 40 minute drive from my home, whereas the other dealer is 7 minutes (but I drive further because of their customer service).

I have to do more research into Taycan's maintenance schedule, especially now that we own a CT4, but I think you're fine for two years (don't have to do anything?) but might after 3. If you get rid of cars after 3 years...then you're probably set!

I think you'd get more value out of Wheel & Tire.

Hi all,

Did a search and could not find anything so sorry if this has been discussed previously.

I am ordering a 2023 Taycan and have an allocation for a Spring Build.

This will be my third vehicle personally from this dealer and the fourth in my family in the last 5 years.
I’ve gotten 5-6% off MSRP on all other vehicles.

I understand the market is different, and he has agreed previously to offer me a build at MSRP. That said, what would you ask for in loyalty as this is your fourth vehicle?

Ideally I’d love if they could give me the black GTS rims on the base I’m ordering as aftermarket and swap my wheels out. Not sure that’s realistic.

Tint? Maintenance package included? A big fat nothing burger?

Sadly you can expect nothing and a discount in most regions is not the norm (for good reason).

It may help with an allocation / build slot to be a repeat customer but don't bank on it.

Expect a small gift either post or during delivery - paperweight / pen / mug.
