My dash camera doesn't record any Parking Videos

Hi, My dash camera doesn't record any Parking Videos. Any suggestions?

You need to hook it up to a separate power source. Porsche engineers don't want your dash cam to drain the battery as it is constantly filming the milkman going into your house.

Did you download and install the app for your Porsche Dashcam?

If not, it would seem logical to do so. From the app I guess you'll get to play with the feature set.

Yes I did. Under the Mode i have Driving option but do not see a Parking option

From the manual:

Parking mode is activated approx. 1 minute after the ignition is switched off. In parking mode, the system is operational via the sleep function. The duration and scope of the sleep function depends on the vehicle model and equipment - set via the app?

Mode (2/5) 2 Parking Active, when the vehicle ignition is switched off. Note: The duration and scope of parking mode depend on the vehicle model and equipment. Radar + shock Recording of parking events via radar and/or shock sensor (no ongoing recording). Video analysis + shock Recording of parking events via video analysis and/or shock sensor. Note: Suitable for metallised panes, where radar monitoring is not possible. Shock only Recording of parking events via shock sensor only after the shock event is detected. Off No recording.

Also, have you updated the camera to the latest firmware?
