Late model 2020 Taycan Turbo. 7900+ miles, I'm the first owner, car has been flawless except sometimes on my home charger (Juicebox) when I disconnect it was trip the Juicebox fuse. But otherwise the car has not had any issues.

Until in early May, one day I parked at a store and when I got back into the car, it gave me the red Electrical Warning. I turned it off and back on and same thing. So thanks to this forum, I locked it, walked away, came back 15 mins later and it was fine. I drove home. Coincidentally I already had a Porsche recall campaign appointment set up.

I finally got the car back yesterday. It took 4 weeks. They said the computer told them the fault was with the high voltage converter module, which takes the 110/220V and converts it to the 400V/800V for charging the main battery... which I never had symptoms of. Anyway, the delays were mostly the very few certified Taycan technicians at this (supposedly) large west coast dealer. The part was in LA so shipping here didn't take too long, but most of the time my car was just parked waiting for technician time.

When I got the car back, I asked if I got the same part or if this module has been revised, as I would be nervous about this happening again in 2 years (or after our warranty is over). The SA dug further into the matter and today he told me that.....

.... wait for it.....

.... this is the FIFTY FOURTH(!!!!!) revision of the part. I got rev BB. It started at rev A.

Well.... it is what it is. Fingers crossed. At least now I'm out of that POS Macan loaner.

Without knowing how they handle part revisions, it's tough to say if that's notable or not. Maybe they went through 5-10 revisions before the car even went on sale, maybe they have multiple suppliers with slightly different components, so each revision actually comes with 3-4 revisions to cover the possible different suppliers, maybe they went through a bunch of different suppliers with the supply chain issues.

It's too much to jump to conclusions in my opinion, but maybe someone can confirm that they've actually made 50+ updates to the charger. That would seem kinda crazy to me though, since that's a new part more than once a month.

I totally agree; I had the same reaction and assumed a lot of these were not safety/major design changes but rather small logistical revisions.
The service foreman confirmed the car originally shipped with Rev A. The current part order online is revision BB.
