Girlfriend noticed an odd pattern inside her door the other day. Has anyone else seen anything like this or know what it is? They are "hard" to the touch and don't seem like a regular indentation from pressure that would pop back up eventually...

I had the same thing when water got into the stitching and what appeared to be spreading out in both directions during a retint at the shop since they spray a lot of water or solution to remove the tint. Shop took responsibility and paid for the entire replacement of the door card as you cannot replace just the upper portion. I am not sure if this can happen from just rainwater if you left a window open in the Taycan, but I happened not to close the window all the way in the Cayenne and sure enough similar pattern formed during light overnight rain before I caught it in the morning.

This is what mine looked like:

holy shit! We thought we were going crazy that we only noticed after a recent tinting of the windows but that makes a lot of sense.

I'm going to call the tint shop tomorrow. Thanks man!

Definitely the tint shop. If they just do their normal thing and not cover the stitching completely and just spray the water and then wipe, they actually force the water into the stitching. Door card can be ordered which took almost 6 months since it is custom made to your VIN, costs thousands (I can look it up if you want me to), but replacement is plug and play.

I've also noticed this on my Taycan … and no tinting. I wonder if somehow water got into the window during a car wash?

You might be able to use steam or heat to blend it out. I’ve had success with that in the past on other leather seats. If you have to pay the bill yourself, it might be worth at try.
