Kerb view is the only camera I'm using 100% of the time when parking. It has helped me not to destroy my rims on every kerb
. Other cameras are a bit useless, IMO.

I have to reverse onto a sloping drive with a lip to climb at one end, it is nerve wracking! I can only do it by lining the car up perfectly with the mirrors and going quicker than I like. Too slow and the auto brakes apply and then release. I'll have to make a video of it one day if only to give people a laugh.Surround view is actually nice when you parallel park. Makes the maneuver easier BUT the big problem is the creeping itself. There's no human way of moving the car millimetrically where you wish.
It's really starting to get on my nerves. Either it's stopped or it jumps an inch or two. I feel like a school kid who hasn't mastered the non existing clutch.
Disable maneuvering assist? That's the only thing that let's me park in my garage (also up-hill sloped driveway, with less than 6 inches clearance in the final parking spot).I have to reverse onto a sloping drive with a lip to climb at one end, it is nerve wracking! I know different users have different tolerances to things and maybe it has always been like this with automatics so if people com from automatics they don't notice the difference but I ask you this: if someone would hold an egg between your car's bumper and the car in front of you, would you be able, with your taycan, to creep smoothly until you held the egg between your bumper and the front car bumper? If you can, then my car has an issue. No issue here either when on the level. Check that you don't have WBA (Collision Warning - Hold) configured for 'early'.
Perfect (coulda done it in much less time manually obviously!)I keep forgetting about the auto park feature. This was one of the few times I've used it – on the first weekend of getting the car.
But it did do a good job of aligning it with the kerb.

I would and mine doesn't!I know different users have different tolerances to things and maybe it has always been like this with automatics so if people com from automatics they don't notice the difference but I ask you this: if someone would hold an egg between your car's bumper and the car in front of you, would you be able, with your taycan, to creep smoothly until you held the egg between your bumper and the front car bumper? I just disabled collision warning. Even in an open parking lot, if I want to move half an inch, the car will move one inch and rock back and forth as it fully applies the brakes to stop.
Yeah, I don't know how to explain it better. It's not related to putting park. It's like... When you brake a stick shift ice car to a halt, immediately before coming to a total halt, you ease the pressure on the brake pedal so the car stops without the rock or bow movement. If you don't do this, the car will stop and you'll feel the "recoil"?I would and mine doesn't!
I use a parking space when in Edinburgh with a solid surface front, back and driver's side to parallel park - the space is around 7m in length...I therefore need to creep.
Creeping works as it does in an ICE in my experience.
Note also that as per any type of auto car, once stationary and you put the car in P there will be a movement - most noticeably on any type on incline / decline.
The surround view camera on the Taycan isMy Taycan 4S (MY21) is missing a key option: “Park Assist including Surround View”.
First owner ordered the car with £30K+ of options but unfortunately didn’t tick the Surround View (and Head up display).
It has the basic reversing camera but the image quality (resolution and coverage) is not great.
Has anyone in the UK looked at retrofitting this option on their Taycan?
I called my local Porsche Centre but they said they didn’t offer this retrofit under their Tequipment services and I needed to look for 3rd party installers.
The 360 surround view feature and auto park are not worth the money. They perform poorly and the camera resolution is terrible. I have a lucid and a Bmw IX and both are far superior with respect to these options. Hopefully Porsche will fix this. I have a 2023 911 GTS for a few days, it also has the surround view and it's really good! Can't understand why the Taycan one is so different. The surround view camera on the Taycan is

I have surround view on my Cayenne and thought it was a must on my Taycan. Unfortunately the Taycan implementation is so bad that I don’t rely on it. The fish eye reversing camera default view is unusable . The side views are barely usable. Only the front and Birds Eye views are dependable. Try it on a Taycan before going any further. I’ve regressed to turning my head and using the mirrors rather than looking at a screen! My Taycan 4S (MY21) is missing a key option: “Park Assist including Surround View”.
