Hi All,

I'm overly vigilant since Porsche completed the battery cell recall on my 2021 Taycan. I can't fully recall but I think this instance is abnormal. Typically I have the precool/heat setting at 69 degrees with a planned departure for 8AM every morning. I vaguely recall no change or a 1% change when departing for the day prior to the battery recall. Today I noticed a 5% change, 78% to 73%. The % seems to retain correctly when driving, I just drove a combination of city/hwy for around 15 miles and saw a 3% decline with the heat on. Has anyone noticed anything similar? Has anyone encountered issues after completing the battery recall(s)?

Thanks.

Tl;Dr Depends on outside temp and whether the car is on the charger.

It's not clear from your question 1) whether your car is plugged in and 2) whether you are using the timer. If it's plugged in the car should be within 1 or 2 percent of the target charge after preconditioning. If it is not plugged into shore power, and it's cold out, the 10kW PTC could potentially run for up to an hour. That's 10kWh, or more than 10% of your battery capacity. 5% seems possible.
