Remove brake light to tint rear window?

Thanks to all who have posted in this forum. It’s been invaluable in ordering my first Porsche and EV. A bit of a detailed question…

For those of you who applied rear window tint, did you consider / have the upper brake light removed prior to tint installation?

I’m going with 20% and prefer the look of a completely dark rear window, instead of the clear cutout for the upper brake light to shine through. I’ve also seen a YouTube video where the removal / reinstall of the upper brake light doesn’t seem difficult.

I had my windows tinted and the rear brake light was not removed during the process. I don't really notice any extra light shine through like you're thinking of. I don't really pay attention to it either, just happier with less direct light in the cabin.

I realize it’s purely aesthetic and subjective but trying to go more for the look on the left than the right… didn’t know if others had considered the same.

It’s not a consideration on your ST. The brake light is not on the window at all.

My installer was able to tint the entire rear window without taking off the light trim. He said it was finicky but doable
