reset PORSCHE CONNECT 2 charger

hi guys - has anybody here reset to factory settings a Porsche connect 2 charger - my car has been returned after charger port replacement and my charger doesn't recognise car and I have -overload protection deactivated -electricity rate deactivated and cost-optimised charging deactivated - logic tells me to reset the charger to factory settings and then the charger will pick up the car when I plug in - other cars are recognised using plug and play but my car doesn't show up in authorisation program in car so obviously something amiss - any body had a similar issue ? car will charge on direct charging but has issues when using profile and timer plus optimization setting - shows up as blue but doesn't start charging when set time arrives- any help appreciated

Not heard of this Porsche EVSE - PMC+, PMCC, and PWCC yes.

Can you share a picture and the part number?

I obviously need to activate these programs also I need to authorise my car in charger but it doesn't recognise so I believe it is in the charger system somewhere so it doesn't install into system as a new authorised vehicle

This looks like the PMCC.

Did it come with a white envelope?

You need to authorise your car to the PMCC.

Should be possible on the PMCC itself or via the web interface.

Let me know if this has worked. I think I have the same issue and I will be without my car for two days because it needs to be reset. For this they will disconnect the battery from the car for at least 16 hours. Then it will reset itself and Porsche technicians can start everything up again and reinstall the software. OTA is not possible because the car has also lost its connection to the internet (I would check the latter with your car, then taking it to the dealer is the only solution)

hi =my car has been to dealer and that's where the issue started with a charger port impaired issue then replaced - since coming back although the car will direct charge my profiles re time and or optimise will not work but equally as strange the timer for car ready does come on and is recognised - I used Octopus optimise which worked great for me until this issue - current thoughts are to bin the charger and get another brand rather than Porsche but then if I do find its the car not the charger communicating between them then obviously will be money down the drain - I am weary of a reset in case the charger will not work at all as I have no experience of such matters and I am slowly gathering all data before I pull the plug . Porsche so far haven't come up with an answer for me as yet either so looking for advice before I do any damage .

This is normal and isn't a VIN (even though it looks like one) and is a PCID which simply translates to 'TAYCAN' - all Porsche EVs will have one and will translate to the vehicle model.

Just press 'Yes' and go for it!

I haven't any updates as after playing with settings for a few days my current thoughts are to bin the charger and get an Anderson as I do not have any faith left in the Porsche charger plus after looking at lots of reviews the Anderson gets lots of good points plus 8 years warranty - going to give one last attempt at getting profile to work then toss a coin if it doesnt= also thought about getting a service on the Porsche charger and the technician maybe point out and resolve where I am going wrong -EV I believe are fantastic to drive but these issues are the frustrating part of ownership

would advise following a guide on YouTube
there’s not reason to have issues with the PMCC in Europe /uk

in your experience is it better to use wifi set up or PLC - if I use wifi I cannot use the PLC setting as it asks me to switch off/deactivate - ?

I have reset and obviously trialling which works best and my initial observation although wifi connected ok is it better just to leave it by using settings under car control as I have been using WIFI but this maybe where my issue is (trust this makes sense)
