HI W1NGE

in your experience is it better to use wifi set up or PLC - if I use wifi I cannot use the PLC setting as it asks me to switch off/deactivate - ?

I have reset and obviously trialling which works best and my initial observation although wifi connected ok is it better just to leave it by using settings under car control as I have been using WIFI but this maybe where my issue is (trust this makes sense)

I don't use PLC - can be problematic and historically can lead to unintended 12v battery drain - DISABLE PLC. Note that the PLC aspect of concern is the PLC connection from the PMCC to the car (not PLC to your router / PMCC).

Use WiFi (or PMCC hotspot) but in reality you rarely need to connect to the PMCC once it has been setup (and besides all setup can be performed via the touch panel). PMCC will need to be registered with your Porsche ID and logically therefore will need a clear path to the internet for this step and subsequent data uploads (and updates).

All charging control is via My Porsche App or the charging functions in the PCM.

These are my settings:

Many thanks W1NGE

I will update once I trial re wifi as I fully charged on direct charge in case the reset went badly although I found it relatively easy following the instructions

much appreciated

Hi W1NGE

we are looking good here and its down too your expert help -last piece of puzzle and apologies if I have asked this question before but in layman's terms can you explain how to switch on my -Active equipment services ? all showing deactivated !

apologise for giving you these headaches but if it helps you are curing mine !

No problem and is what the forum is for.

Not clear on your question perhaps a photo would help.

It may relate to the Porsche Charging Service which requires a valid subscription. If you have one then try registering your PMCC which should happen automatically when you enter your Porsche ID and have an internet connection during setup.

This can also be performed via My Porsche App: hit "+" to add

Coolio.

So unless you have a HEM (Home Energy Manager) then the only relevant service is overload protection.

Use the web interface or PMCC touch panel to enable as per my earlier screenshot.

You can also rename your PMCC and give it a more friendly one.

Note that there are 2 user accounts for the PMCC and so some of the setting changes may only be possible with one.
