I work in Oil & Gas, but recently made the (energy) transition to EV a few weeks ago with a Taycan 4 Cross Turismo order. I’ve always been partial to electric vehicles – in fact, I am part owner of an electric bike company – but have been hesitant to go full electric given my career and livelihood. Some months ago, I bought my first Porsche – a 2020 Cayenne. The Cayenne did not disappoint. Nevertheless, after only a few months of owning it, I decided to trade up to a Taycan. Balancing performance with cost, and keeping in mind range and value, I chose the Cross Turismo over the base Taycan. The Performance Battery Plus and dual synchronous motors deliver greater range and power. I chose Dolomite Silver Metallic over its Mamba Green counterpart because the silver provides a classy and athletic appearance. I opted for the Premium Package, the Sports Chrono Package, the Porsche Electric Sport Sound, the Park Assist option, and the Rear 2+1 seats.

I am 2 months from reaching my freeze date and 145 days from receiving my electric dream. Any suggestions are welcomed.

Enjoy the next few months. The wait is really part of the fun. Assume the Car will be late and then if it comes earlier you won’t be disappointed. I am also about 135-145 days out on my CT. The Freeze date is a moving Target. Don’t wait until right before the Freeze date to make changes. On my previous Porsche I tried to make changes ten days before the Freeze date only to be told that the Freeze date had changed. That was two years before they had Track Your Dreams.

Well noted, Bella.

To be honest, I hope the delivery does delay a month or two. We are building a home and won’t close until March or April, and that date is a moving target that continues to disappoint. Nevertheless, look forward to to be electrified.

Thanks,
