Side mirrors reset position when reversing

Whenever I put the car into reverse, the mirrors angle upwards to look at the sky. When I put the car into drive, they don't return to their original position. If I adjust the mirrors while in reverse and save the settings, they still point upward on the next time shifting to reverse. Anyone else have this problem? I can't even use the settings buttons to return the mirrors to their normal position in drive and have to manually adjust them every time I have to reverse.
