So after following this forum for many months, setting up a spreadsheet to try and understand all the extras, and their cost on the Tacans for sale, I've bought a RWD MY24 Taycan. It's less than 6 months old, and it has lost £32,500, but hopefully things will slow down in that area now. Rather frighteningly I did work out that the car cost more than my first 6 houses added together, but then I am rather old. Previously, I had a Kia EV6 and a Boxster, and as I hoped, it has combined the ease of driving around town and cruising on the motorway of the Kia, with the fun dynamics of the Boxster. Some people on here have said it's the best car they have driven, and after 500 miles so far, I think they could be correct. At present and with the temperature here being around 10*, it's indicating 320 miles on a full charge, so all good. One question; When I washed the car the other day, using a power washer, but on a low setting, I noticed when drying it, one of the headlights had misted up. I rang the OPC I bought it from and received the frightening car sales person platitude, "They all do that sir". Well do they?

Congrats.

Pictures and spec?

On the headlights, they do all do that - even without a power washer :)

Normal.on most if not all Porsches. There are vents in the headlight unit to alow them to clear.

I have not had this headlight experience, ever. In the last 10 years, I have owned 4 different 911 variants and 2 Taycan's, my headlights never have indicated moisture after washing or a rain storm.

My Cayenes, Macans, Panamera and Taycans but not my Boxster have all had some misting of the lower part of the headlamp lens.

No ill has come of it.

Congratulations, it's an awesome car!

I can confirm with the headlamps, in cooler climates you will see this. I noticed it just yesterday when washing mine - It clears quickly.

Thanks everyone who answered my question and putting my mind at rest. When you spend more money on a car than you've ever done before, any problem is immense. I'm off to attend a Porsche Masterclass later in the week, and I'm already up to two pagers of questions.

Congrats and keep the questions coming. Agree with others, headlight misting is normal.
