Hello,

I plan on ordering a Taycan 4 very soon and I want to keep the budget under/ up to 100k. Are there any must-have specs I should have?

Some specs I read about in the forums:
- Rear-axle steering
- Air suspension
- Lane change assit

Please let me know what else you think I should have!

Thank you!

Yes for RAS and PASM
No for LCA, I have it and hardly use. Moreover its not as good as compared to other cars.

Thank you for your respone.

Lane Change Assist being another name for blind spot monitoring correct? I feel like I would need it since I've always had it for all my cars.

Taycan 4CT already comes with air suspension and large battery (which IMO are essential), so has most of what you need.

IMO wheels are next given the base wheels are ugly, unless you're gonna do aftermarket. I'm partial to the off road design 20s

Yes to LCA - IMO this should have been standard. @yoursuf are you referring to LKA instead of LCA? Since LCA is probably always on for most people and I'd be surprised if it was not as good as other cars

IMO ACC is a must have for a daily driver. If you ever get stuck in stop and go traffic, you can just turn it on and have the car follow instead of constantly having to manage gas/brake. Hugely reduces stress of traffic during commute. If it's a weekend car or you never hit traffic where you live, then not as big a deal

Adding wheels, acc, lca and you're at $100k

Yes. Worth it. I got the LCA. Keep in mind the LKA comes standard. The ALK comes if you spec the InnoDrive.

...there was a thread on this last week. Look it up -- you will get a lot of good responses there. I think the subject line was similar "Favorite Spec" or something like that

Thank you, since I'm more on a tight budget i'm trying to narrow it down. Will look at that threat.

My advice if you are on a limited budget -- here are the must haves

1. Full leather
2. Performance Battery +
3. 20" in wheels
5. ACC (no Innodrive)

The rest is gravy. And if you are on a really tight budget, you can probably forgoe #2 depending on your planned use for the car. Maybe even 1.

If you want added safety go with Remote Park. This gives you a few extra sensors to detect traffic coming from the side of the car. (The RP is a gimmick but people don't realize the safety features that come with it).

You can also pass on the 150kw/400w option and save $500. You won't need it. Yes, if Tesla opens up things, a nice to have but if you are looking to save money, don't click

And mobile charger connect. I think this is $1200. Don't need it. Get one on Amazon for $300-600.

You will get a lot of opinions--in the end, even if you go with the base model, remember, it is a Porsche. And that in itself will be awesome

Car comes with EVSE (PMC+) as standard equipment. No need to order one off Amazon.

Good point. But I believe it is only 8 feet long. I need a bit longer one and while the 25 foot is "free" you need to buy the mobile charger connect with it.

PMCC is 8’ (or 25’).
PMC+ is around 17’ (not interchangeable)
There are also J1772 extension cables available.

Some cheap stuff worth having that won’t blow your budget……….

If you have kids you must get rear air bags
Auto dimming mirrors
Driver memory pack

Standard interior is sumptuous, gorgeous and lovely.
The only vanity necessity for me is upgrading to 20’ from the dreadful base pram wheels!
ACC is good option.
if you get that you can play around with Innodrive and Lane Change on Function on Demand for FREE(!) for 3 months then, if you like, rent cheaply for a month when you need on long trips.

Buy an extension lead for 20 bucks!
They say you should not use one but as long as it’s properly rated it’s no problem. I have for 2 years

-Leather Seats (single tone)
-Perf Batt+
-Ventilated (if you live in a hot climate)
-Unselect Pano roof (same reason as above)
-ACC
-20" upgrade - i like the 19" Aero S
-Ambient Lighting
-storage pack: it will add practical usable space in the front
-Lane Change Assist (because safety matters)
