Hello all

I'm on the market to buy a used taycan 4S, but going a bit confused.

Is there any major diferences between 2020 model and newer ?
I see 530hp on 2020 models and 570hp on the newer models.

I see some cars from 2020 anoucing 530Hp and with 93.5Kw battery, it confuses me!
I thinked that the difference between the 570Hp cars 2021 and after had the 93.5Kw and the first models with 530Hp had only available the 79.2Kw...

When was the 93.4Kw battery model first available witht the 4S in Europe ?

There is a price difference around 5-10k in the 2020 4S with 530hp compared with the 2021 onward!

Thanks

Hello,
There is no difference between 2020 and 2021/2022 model years. The big battery was and still is an option. The Taycan and Taycan 4S come standard with a 79KW battery. The Performance battery plus option boosts the battery pack to 93KW.
Here find below the specs with and without the Performance Battery Plus option. Numerous sellers simply ignore that and this explains your confusion.
I hope this helps.

And btw, option code for the big battery is J9K. Ask the dealer about the car’s build sheet and look for J9K.

Thanks for the feedback @allroadusa :like:

Today I test drove a 2021 4S with the big battery and I really like the car.
I've decided to go on, just need to find a good spec car and deal.

One other question about the power, why the continous power output is anouced only at peak (10s) ?
It´s not constant? will be less than peak ? How much?

It's strange the anounced power numbers and when I drove it today it realy doesn't feel to have 540hp like my petrol v8 bi-turbo.
When we put the car in sport or sport plus the power will stay the 490Hp or in any case beside launch control will get to 571Hp ?

Thanks

The feeling is different. Because of the lack of sound it is less dramatic. Just look in your rear view mirror when accelerating. They are fast.

You'll get "only" 490Hp but instant 650Nm of torque. I'm coming from a 570HP TurboS Panamera and had the opportunity to chase with friends on spirited drive : believe me, it's fast.

Maybe I will have both and will compare side by side :)
My car have 900Nm at 2500rpm and almost 500kg less but zero traction at lower speed

The search for a 4S continues :like:
