Taycan 4S fog light not working

Hi there,

i have a taycan 4S 2021 with led lighting.
now couple of days ago my fog light stopped working and therefore its giving an error message on the screen.
I called Porsche and they said you need new headlights you can not repair it.
After 3 days later my other fog light has also stopped working ?‍

My question is could it be that both are broken and do i need to change the comple headlights ?
Or is the problem now because its freezing outside maybe that gave a problem ? (I mean could it be a technical problem)

Should i go to the dealer and let them first check for the problem or should i look for a solution ?

Yes! I did it with this trick. Its a shame that Porsche asks for a new headlight while you can only change the led module. https://www.antparts.com/products/p...-low-beam-led-light-repair-module-chip-board/

Not that easy see the video link.
Be carefull with opening the headlights because they are glued and you have to glue them back.

Got the same issue here. Saw the video but wasn’t sure whether there’d be a color difference of some kind. Ordered the component + thermal paste + Butyl.

Did you use a heat gun or put the headlight in an oven to get the glue to loosen?

Was 6 days out of Porsche approved warranty when it happened.

You need to cut just were it bonds and then use silicone …

Ordered them today … I opened the headlights already… man those leds look perfect , yours looked good? You used thermal paste?

Yes we used special glue to mount it back.

As for the headlights use an heating gun as demonstrated at this video.

And aftwards you need to buy this butly glue to fix it back on or else you will have condense in the headlights.
dont worry about the faulty headlight message because it will disappear automatically

Hallo Mike Tycan, Ik ben ook van België. Ik heb hetzelfde probleem en heb het onderdeel ook besteld om de lamp te herstellen. Ik ben zelf echter niet technisch genoeg onderlegd om dit werk uit te voeren. Kan jij me eventueel helpen tegen een vergoeding? Of kan je me iemand aanraden?

Dag Max,

Ik heb deze door autos carma laten doen. Je kan hun beter contacteren hiervoor. Ik heb hun wel de onderdelen bezorgd. + je bent je wagen wel voor 2-3 dagen kwijt.
Was wel een gunst voormij dus ik weet nie als ze dit voor iedereen doen.

Just did my dimlight today, and for those not certain yet how to do it... don't put your headlight in the oven. The glue is not a heat snail, but rather some kind of silicon rubber... it doesn't melt at all. So I eventually ended up cutting too. If I had known that, it would have saved me at least a day.
