Hi,

Sharing my build here as I have to finalize tomorrow. Would love opinions. The ones in 'bold' I am still debating about. I got a lot of input on this forum, so I was able to reconfigure some of this. I think keeping it in line w/ MissionE was important for me. Some of the aesthetics too. (I'm an engineer + architect ~ if that explains the tech + aluminum rhombus). Only owned Porsche ~ I had a Cayenne S (2005) and a Cayman (2010) before. Haven't had a car for over 11 years since I moved to Manhattan. Aiming to drive less within NYC but more to other cities / states. I occasionally road race but I think wouldn't take this to track. Kills the tires ! Initially I was aiming to get a Taycan RWD but after trying to configure one a Mission E, 4S seems more value for money. Going $8k over budget after I added the performance battery but I'm having a hard time removing any specs I chose earlier. Help !

IMHO, in the US I would skip the more advanced lights. They are no fully enabled to my knowledge, and bad value for money here. Once you drop that, picking individual options makes more sense than premium package. With respect to the seats: I highly highly recommend sitting in each. I was reluctant to pay extra for the 18 way for the features alone, but they fit very differently and in my case MUCH better than the 14 way. I know for some people it's the other way around. So, I think you'll get your answer on that one by trying each. It's a pretty clear difference IMHO.

Passenger Display imho is of limited use since it doesn't do carplay, and the built in navigation etc. is somewhere between bad and useless. Unless your passenger absolutely HAS to control media that way and you KNOW that you won't be using Carplay for media, I'd drop it. It also seems to be a source of issues for some people ... so here I think less is more.

Sport Chrono Stopwatch Dial in White Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur I might be the wrong person to ask, since for the first time, I specced a Porsche without Sport Chrono. w/ my new Taycan 4s. I just don't think it makes sense. You can switch between sport and normal via the screen anyway... I actually prefer the look without it. It doesn't fit into the rest of the cockpit style wise IMHO.

Some things that are not bolded, but where I'm going to share my opinions regardless :):

Porsche Surface Coated Brakes (PSCB) with Calipers in White - you are doing 90%+ of braking via regen, not the brakes. Paying extra for brakes that dust less makes no sense IMHO. Unless you're doing it for the white look... then that's an expensive paint.

Porsche Intelligent Range Manager - the maps are bad, the routing is bad. You'll be using Google Maps/AppleMaps + ABRP anyway.

On-Board 150 kW/400V DC Charger - jury is out whether Tesla Supercharger access will make this useful.Right now this option doesn't do much in the US.

And one note on something you might consider upgrading:
I have the Bose, and so far have been underwhelmed. Wasn't as clear to me on test drives, since I was reluctant to really blast music. But 4 weeks in this isn't amazing. Better than the Bose on the 911, but not by all that much. Next time, I might either skip or pay extra for the Burmester.
