Just to close the loop here, if anyone is looking for a immediately available CT4 allocation, PM me. I will share the ones that I found (I ended up finding three available ones and took one of them).

I had an opportunity to get an earlier (by at least 3 months) build with a more distant dealer, but concluded that it was more important to have the convenience of dealing with my (very) local dealer should I have any issues with the vehicle (it wasn't enough to hear that any dealer will look after any customer regardless of where they bought their car). When I put down my deposit in October, the CT4S was the variant most in demand with delivery estimated to be up to 12 months out.
Further development...I now have an April build slot with my local dealer, so I made the right decisions to stick with them (the others were offering a March build) and also to keep fingers in pies by putting a deposit on a CT Turbo shortly after one on a 4S. At the time, 4S was estimated for delivery Q4 '22 and Turbo not until 2023, so my thinking was I'd need to decide once I was offered a 4S slot whether to take a chance waiting on for a Turbo. That decision is easy now, because the April slot is for a Turbo, and I assume that the 4S would still be Q4. The dealer had updated me in January with the news that, contrary to their expectations, there would be CT Turbo allocations this year, but I thought I'd wait until offered a build slot, before I got my hopes up (and I still have my fingers crossed now that there'll be no disappointing twists ahead).
In summary: it's like a lottery, though at least the tickets are refundable.

Deposit made in June 2021
Order submitted with commission number in July
Build started October
Delivered early December to Northern California

TrackYourDream was fairly accurate throughout and the vehicle actually arrived a little earlier than the website estimated.

I would suggest shopping around. I don’t think I’d pay over MSRP for a Taycan, especially in the numbers they are producing. Of course that’s dependent on where you are. Dealers around me were asking for MSRP for an allocation back then, thoughI hear some are asking for additional markup. I do know that many are still offering at MSRP.

Back in June, I ordered through a dealer/broker (to be fulfilled by a local Porsche dealer) and it was for 3% off MSRP.

How did you find your dealer/broker to order through?
