Hi!

I just got a new 2025 Taycan RWD 2 weeks back, have put around 600 miles so far and I have started noticing mild (but noticeable) vibration in the footwell in my foot that's bothering me a bit. I feel it consistenly on my foot, even at low speeds, and can even notice some in standstill. When I am driving and sometimes coming to a stop I feel more vibration pronounced in cycles. At first I thought it's the break but it must not be that because I feel some consistent vibration even when the car is still (but in drive mode, I put it on HOLD to test this for longer durations, it's consistently there). It seems to go away when it's in park mode. It's not the AC because it's still present when the AC is turned off. I lowered the tire pressure because that was higher than target, but that didn't help. I took it to the service center today and the guy took it on a drive with me and said he can feel what I'm talking about but he isn't sure if it's normal. He brought another taycan that was in pdi mode and he said he could feel it a little bit in that as well, so this should be normal. I felt it a bit as well in that, but perhaps it's more pronounced in my car because I notice it so much. He said there's nothing under the floor except the battery so there's nothing much that can be changed.

Does anyone know what I might be talking about? Or any guesses about what the cause is? It's my first time owning a taycan or a porsche. Someone said it might be the battery ventillation. I might be making a big deal about it but it's bothering me, maybe I'll get used to this if this is normal. I am not very comfy feeling tiny vibrations in my foot, I guess.

Thanks!

Since you say the vibrations are present with the car stationary in P>ark, there is clearly no need for a test drive. I assume that the vibrations go away when you switch off the car? That really just leaves an imbalanced fan, I had thought. One such is below each headlight. They only whirr when needed to condition the battery and I would have expected you to hear them (when facing the car).

PS: I have an older Taycan and no vibrations. Try driving the demonstrator at your dealer. Does that vibrate?

PPS: The servo that actuates the power assisted brakes could be pulsing. That might send vibration thru the brake pedal. Perhaps also thru the floor, if that's where it is mounted. In a similar vein, if one of your air springs was leaking, the compressor would be running most of the time. But all these faults you should not just be able to feel thru the floor but also hear from the outside.

Thank you for the reply! Yes, the vibration goes away when the car is in park mode.

I took my car to another service center last week and they kept the car for the week. In the end they said everything is normal. According to them the only thing they are feeling to cause a vibration is the brake actuator pump, which normally causes a vibration when it activates and disengages.

I argued that I also feel something just when held still in drive mode, and they said it can still be the brake pump. But they were quite certain that everything is normal.

In general, do you feel any difference when you switch from park mode to drive mode? Any feel of something getting engaged? The small vibration/hum that I feel in hold mode is normal according to them.

I am now trying not to keep my foot on the floor and keep it at the dead pedal at all times, that seems to help not get bothered

I have a MY22 CT4 and it does not vibrate. Neither thru the floor nor the brake pedal (not even when - unusually for this test only - I rest my foot on the pedal). When I move out of P>ark there is a little "clonk" when the parking callipers disengage. Also, a very quiet hum sets in which is not, I believe, anything mechanical but a sound generated thru a speaker. (A subdued form of the "sports sound" one can otherwise activate.)

I also get a "sigh" from the foot well when I move out of (the green) HOLD.
