There seem to be several ongoing problems affecting nearly every Taycan in production, and I've been having a hard time keeping track of the various threads going on. I've only had my new Taycan for a couple of days and it's already in the shop for what's looking like an unknown amount of time now while I wait for the heating system problem to be diagnosed/resolved.
So I've started a tracker for ongoing issues that anyone is welcome to contribute to: https://github.com/evstatus/PorscheTaycan/issues
The rough idea:
- Track each car issue in a single open "issue" until there's some sort of formal acknowledgment/recall from Porsche.
- In the meantime, catalog all of the affected cars, typical time to repair/resolve, and any threads that provide additional information about the issue.
You'll need a GitHub account to contribute, but it's pretty easy to sign up. Please feel free to leave comments or open new issues if you'd like to help catalog this stuff. Also open to suggestions on how best to represent/maintain the info.
Example screenshot of the first issue I'm tracking regarding the heating system:
I'm going to make another issue shortly cataloging the Electrify America issue.
