Transmission warning light

I finally received my car back and learned the motor and transmission were both replaced. Curious if others have had both replaced. My car has under 6,000 miles on it

The invoice indicated that after they checked the wiring harness faults remained so they were advised by manufacturer to replace transmission. Faults still remained so then they were advised to change the motor which cleared the fault messages. All covered under warranty but I have no engineering details as to what the underlying issue was

Got the same transmission failure warning light. Porsche assist sent out the AA who checked fault codes and disconnected 12v then reset fault codes. Warning message still on but i can put it into drive so drove down the road, warning stayed on and the car is in limp mode. Looks like a recovery back to the dealership tomorrow.

Reading the many threads on this and the many instances of this happening, the conclusions are more limited. The OP's fix was a new motor, is that the most likely outcome or have others had a software or senor reset at the dealership? Luckily still in warranty, but I'll be extending the warranty anyway, this has confirmed the decision when i get there.

In my case the dealer replaced both the motor and transmission plus……under californias lemon law they reimbursed me for all prior lease payments, taxes, registration, etc and bought the car back making me whole. I then started over with a new vehicle and upgraded to the GTS trim level. It’s only has far 1200 miles since picking it up in late November but have not yet experienced any issues whereas with the prior Taycan I had issues from the first week of delivery that never seemed to end as it was with the dealer the majority of the six months I had it

Now at the dealership awaiting diagnosis! Got a loaner Mecan, first petrol car I've used since I sold my Z4 in 2012. Recovery driver who contracts for Porsche assist said he has picked up quite a few Taycans recently.

Update - the fault was a loose wire in a connector to the transmission fluid electric pump.
