Hey everyone,

My CPO Taycan recently had an issue while I was traveling and ended up being towed to a dealership over 100 miles from my home. As I start navigating the logistics of Porsche's Trip Interruption and Vehicle Reunite benefits, I realized it would be incredibly helpful to hear how this process has gone for others.

Since experiences, coverage details, and reimbursement timelines can sometimes vary depending on the situation, I thought it would be a good idea to create a centralized thread. Hopefully, this can serve as a helpful reference guide for anyone who finds themselves stranded far from home in the future.

If you’ve ever had to use the Trip Interruption or Vehicle Reunite benefits, I'd love to hear your story. Please copy the template below (let me know if I should add any) and share your experience!

I can go first:
Country/Region: United States
New or CPO: 3 months into my 2020 CPO
Breakdown Distance: More than 100 miles from home, literally in the middle of nowhere in the Catskills and the tow truck companies refused to tow it toward Manhatten/Jersey, so they had to tow it to Porsche Clifton Park
Issue/Time in Shop: Red Circle of Death (probably going to be at least weeks)
Loaner or Rental Car: No, request loaner was told to wait for more than a month, and was not given any rental car options
Trip Interruption Benefits: This is where it gets confusing as I've been on the phone with Trip Interruption, PCNA Customer Support and essentially everyone I can grab a hold of and the true benefits of this is very confusing. From what I can piece together, this is what they told me I can reimburse. Max reimbursement: 3 days. Transportation back home: Unlimited (albeit reasonable), Lodging 250/night, Food 250/night, nothing else
Vehicle Reunite: Covered (Not sure by who, whether it is the dealership or PCNA but it is covered apparently)
Reimbursement Timeline: Told it would take no less than 30 days
