Model Year: As of 2020 up to 2024

Equipment: HomeLink garage door opener (M-no. VC2)

Concerns: Central computer

Information: The customer complains that the teaching process for a garage door cannot be completed
successfully.
During the teaching process for the garage door, a memory space in the form of a memory button on
the mirror is queried in the central display of the PCM control unit. However, this memory button is not
available on Taycan vehicles from model years 2020 – 2024.

Cause: Previous faulty coding of the front-end electronics control unit (BCM1) caused by the PIWIS Tester can
cause this fault pattern.

Action: Re-code the front-end electronics control unit (BCM1) using the PIWIS Tester if there is a customer
complaint.

Yea, a solution presents itself!

So glad I didn't suffer this issue after any service visits.

Huh?

MY20 - MY24 don't use the mirror (it has no buttons) for Homelink. PCM controls all.

There was a recent campaign which broke this and installed software expecting to use the mirror to operate. This has now been resolved.

MY25 has reverted to mirror buttons.
