I have a CT4 MY’21 and I love it but I have two open recalls (break pads and high voltage battery, for both I got the notification in the last 2 months)

porsche says I need to wait as they don’t have a solution yet but at the same time they calls them safety issues.

What are my options? The car has 3 more years of warranty (it was a CPO) but both make me insecure to drive it.

how many of you have both recalls and what is your approach?

Be prepared to get another one. It will get handled but it is a frustrating situation. Hopefully Porsche stands behind their product and replaced not repairs all these defective batteries. You can get the brake hose recall done now just call your dealer.

Your options?
1. enjoy the car and wait for recall remedies to be available. The remedy for brake hoses is available across US.
2. dispose of the car if you are not comfortable with the situation.

With my 22 4S, I am choosing option 1.

Here is a link to NHTSA online list of recalls issued so far for 2021 Taycans. Not all 20 recalls applied to every Taycan.
Recalls are a part of this game.

Thanks for the replies. I emailed the dealer regarding the break one. The frustrating part is that in the first letter they said they will let me know once a fix is available. They never did.

Same with everyone alas.
I don’t think anyone was ever notified?
Instead, it was contact your local dealer(s) and find out for yourself if the brake hose fix was available. Ditto for heater replacement.

Go to your dealership and ask them to submit a request for getting the new brake hoses. I did that back in November and will be getting mine done in the next couple of weeks.

For brake recall in US, so far only an "interim" owner notification letter has been issued, indicating remedy not yet available.
Heater replacement was not a recall,, so no owner letter legally required.

No, you should not be worried, this is part of Taycan ownership.

Also, when posting, please be specific with recall codes and search first, as we have extensive discussion around them and way ahead of you on the situation.

1. Yes, the process should be better with the letters when remedy is available and for Brake Hoses the remedy is available now, and my dealer now even has all parts in stock for it. So, call your dealer and say you need Brake Hoses recall done, order parts now if you do not have them. Then ask for optional PSM Update that may apply to improve brake performance.

ARB0 - Front Brake Hoses replacement with Brake Fluid Flush
WPK0 - Reprogram PSM campaign that you must request per my dealer notes

2. HV Battery recalls are different, which one are you under typically ARB6 or ABR7 for which remedy is not available, but the letter is clear on what the next steps are.

3. 240V Charging Cable replacement and charger firmware update is another common recall that goes by APB6. Have you completed this one, if not then make sure they have the cable ordered for you by the time you are in for the other recall work.

+1 for all the replies saying “don’t worry.” Contact your local Porsche dealer / service center and ask about the brake line hoses. I had my 2 year service on the calendar and asked if they could get parts to do service + recall at the same time. They made whatever calls they needed to and ordered the parts. It’s not ideal, but in most cases the recalls have been manageable affairs. No need for serious concern.

@blueslite - I have a MY22 RWD. My brake recall was taken care of by my dealership. Awaiting the time when battery recall can be addressed. Until then, I'm not bothered by the outstanding recall and just enjoy driving the car. Other than these recalls and a 2-year check-up, I have not had any issue with the car. It's a brilliant machine! Happy travels!

Have the MY25's had any recalls? Or have they fixed most of the issues with the refresh?

I just checked a 2025 Taycan VIN that is on a dealer lot and zero recalls came up.
