I just did this to my rim. It only took me 67 days to hit my first curb. Good thing I purchased the wheel and tire package. Let’s hope it doesn’t have a stipulation for “blonde female runs into curb”. I also need to know how many times I’m allowed to run into curbs with this warranty. Since this forum is 99% men, I assume no one will admit to doing this themselves. Anyways, I’m just posting for sympathy. Please feel sorry for me.

** Update - I get 8 cosmetic wheel repairs w/ no deductible. I’m already getting a return on my investment!

mine are way worse - the rim design and the tires dont protect the rims at all - they look amazing.. i just ignore it and keep driving! We also bent a couple and had them all repaired - will get some 19" winters for next pot hole season - i wish they had better looking options

67 days, can guarantee I’ll do mine in the first week, especially on UK width roads…Went for 20” wheels so may be a smidgeon more sidewall but not enough. Was the benefit of the iPace on 20”, there was enough sidewall and sidewall protrusion could get right up to a kerb with no worries (and I thought that was a wide car..).

I feel your pain. Its why won’t get winter rims, just change tyres and then replace rims near end of term if have to (rather than have two sets to trash ?).

Takes a brave person to admit it!
my wife always says “it wasn’t her” when I notice rim damage on her car

I learned my lesson the hard way when I used to have my Camaro SS 1LE. The stock wheels had pretty aggressive offset/widths and I ended up with a decent bit of curb rash. The relatively poor visibility didn't help either. Ever since then I've been super paranoid about curbing wheels, often being too far from the curb when parking and having to get back in and get closer

Ha. I'll never admit to curbing my wheels. I just blame my wife. :)

I also got the PPP package. Dealer says I can do up to 5 wheel repairs, was sure if that's just resurfacing or replacements. If you find out, let us know.

Dang! My Panamera rims were pretty bad but I didn’t have the warranty. My philosophy is to drive really fast and no one will see what I’ve done to my rims. It hasn’t worked yet but I’m not a quitter. ?

I knew this comment was coming!! Lol! It’s always the damn wife. I’m going to start blaming my 17 year old daughter that drives my car sometimes. I need to save face somehow.

I’ll post an update when Porsche gets back to me.

My kid has pictures of all my bad parking jobs. She actually keeps an album because they are so bad. I just park in the car back of the lot now.

I see lots of talk on this forum about winter rims. So Cal doesn’t have winter so I guess I’m lucky there. If I had to buy rims twice a year, I’d turn this thing in for a Prius or some other bad ass car of the sort. ?

Ouch..... I literally doubled over when I saw your pic.
I have the Mission E's....... I went a month without the wheel and tire package.... and then realized it was only a matter of time till I would need it. Called the dealer back just 2 weeks ago and bought it.
The insurance really is a good deal.
The only thing that sucks is this all has to kinda be done through the dealer. Or at least I think they want to. It really is a good deal.
The Mission E is $2k, and I think the one you have about the same too.
Plus you get a nail in the tire...... Bingo, new tire.

It’s substantially cheaper to use a wheel repair shop for this kind of thing. You can get a lot of wheels repaired and made perfect for what you’ll pay for wheel and tire insurance.
I’m already $2,500 in for the insurance. Where were you when I was signing my purchase agreement!!

The minute you hit a pothole with these tires and wheel and crack or bend a wheel and blowout a tire its paid for itself.

I’m getting ready to head into LA. I’ll hit 17 major potholes on one street. I might as well go for the gold and take it into the dealer with 4 blown tires and rims.
