Just had the wonderful news that my 4s CT is due for delivery next week from Bournemouth Porsche Centre (in their amazing new showroom and workshop facility). Do any UK Taycan owners have any recommendations for insurance?

Admiral seem to be the go to option.

Even my dealer asked if I was going with Admiral 'like everyone else' when I went to sign all the paperwork.

We have got a multi car and switched from LV (don't insure Taycan) to Admiral.
Wife's car - plus £30k BMW M2 switch to a £90k Taycan and new premium was <£10pm more expensive!

This is interesting, I pick my 4S up on Saturday from Porsche Bournemouth! I was also with LV with my Q8 and spent all day today trying to find a sensible quote, LV was out of course, and the best I can find is Admiral!

I too am with Admiral and renewed again with them this year - they did increase renewal quote by 30% but they dropped it a bit after calling. I did try a number of others including specialist brokers, the only one to come close this year was NFU Mutual but be prepared to spend quite a bit of time on phone with them as they want to dig into driving experience with performance cars etc..

If your interested your welcome to use my referral code http://aklam.io/r5livO which I believe splits £60 between us - see https://referafriend.admiral.com/.

Thanks for this I am just waiting to see what my company insurance can quote but if they can’t beat Admiral then I will be sure to use your code no problem ?

When 'price walking' is outlawed next January, this should become a thing of the past.

Try the NFU (National Farmers Union). They gave me a great price for my CT 4s ( also from Porsche Bournemouth - Oct ) but they would not insure the car in isolation so I got them to quote for my home contents insurance which came in at half the cost that I had been paying. The net result is that the 4s has not cost me a penny. Highly recommend.

Though I'm not expecting to not take delivery until summer at earliest, I'd already got quotes and discovered that my current insurer- LV :) wouldn't insure and that Admiral were my best option (cheapest for requiring no telemetrics box and were well-known). IIRC, Ford Insurance was a close second...presumably they're open for EV business because they're looking to take Mach E customers.

I was with Direct line and whilst the premium was reasonable, the £5k excess was not!! So swapped to Admiral

I also have multi car insurance with Admiral. They put the price up by about 20% for renewal this month & when I called them, ended up paying less than last year!
Funnily enough it was my wife MG ZS EV which went up in price, Taycan down in price.
NFU Mutual were very high in their quote.

Didn't think of checking in advance - I just did a quote the Compare The Market - Admiral - £611 in one. £1000 XS total. Will obviously look harder when mine arrives in Feb/Mar

Paid £880 last year with admiral 2 drivers clean license this year quote was £1137 on a multi-car policy. Other car was way too expensive so dropped that off and they put the 4S up by another £150 (going from 2-car to 1 car policy). Had a look at comparison sites cheapest was £973 with Churchill - but total excess horrendous at £1100. Spoke to Admiral got it down to £1007 - so stuck with them better excess as well !!
