When I put the 240v pigtail on and plug into outlet it doesn't light up

Just had a new 240 V plug installed by electrician. When I use the car with the 110 pigtail hooked into a 110 plug it works fine. When I put the 240 pigtail on and plug it in to the new outlet it doesn't even light up. Any ideas? Outlet checks out fine.

It could be a bad supply cable.

Do you have access to another receptacle to try?

Are you sure the 14-50 pigtail is fully pulgged into the charger?
