Hello All,
Had my Taycan a few weeks and really enjoying it.
Yesterday I went out for the longest drive so far. 83 miles each way to Stratford-Upon-Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare.
Had a great day but, when I returned to the car, the front drivers side had a puncture. Using Porsche Assistance (subcontracted to the AA) I first had a patrol mechanic. As it wasn't possible to fix it by the side of the road he then called in a flat-bed recovery truck. The recovery driver was fantastic (shout out to Dean from the AA) and, upon hearing how long we'd already been waiting, told me he'd recover us all the way home, rather than to the nearest service station as he'd been told to do.
It took 9 hours in all from first call to get the car and ourselves back home. Including a tense reversing down our (long and narrow) drive in pitch black conditions, with me on the phone guiding him as he had to fold in both his mirrors.
One thing he mentioned was that he recovers a lot of Taycans for punctures. The combination of low-profile tires (mine are 21s) together with the weight makes this a very common issue. I've looking on these forums for information on this but haven't found much.
So, my question. Do you find you get a lot of punctures?
