I have been notified by my dealer that my car is due WRS1 - Checking high voltage battery and replace cell block module if necessary.

The dealer has advised that they need to allocate 2 weeks for this work, and that the battery needs to be removed to perform these checks.

Has anyone else got any more information on this? I searched the forum and google and couldn’t find anything, and I am not familiar with that the cell block module actually is.

What is a Taycan cell block:
Porsche Taycan WRS1 Recall 1733525119359-26

Re WRS1. I have not seen that campaign name.

I believe WRS1 is likely an "accompanying campaign" or a subcampaign of Taycan battery recalls ARA5, ARA4, or ARB5 in the UK. If you read the TSBs issued in US (see forum recall threads) you will see references to accompanying campaigns WRE1, WRE2, etc. These designations are for Porsche to keep track of the various car subcategories in the recalls. It is possible that WRS1 is such an accompanying campaign designation in your country.

Other recall IDs for this are ARA4, ARA5, ARB6 and ARB7. Search for those here.
It affects all Taycan manufactured up to June 23 or thereabouts- I forget the exact date.
Mine was done in July. One battery module needed replacing. My car was away for about 4 weeks but all other recalls were done at the same time. All done smoothly.
