My current config. A bit down on the queue so not locking yet.
http://www.porsche-code.com/PL5FQLW1

I'm still on the fence for PDCC Sport (affect on non-track driving), full leather vs base, double pane side windows.

Must have options IMHO:
  • Rear Axle Steering (long car, makes it feel smaller at slow speeds and longer at high speeds)
  • Electric Folding Mirrors (wide car)
  • 150kw on-board charger (so many non-EA 400V dc chargers out there)
  • ParkAssist (big car and has been great even for my Bolt EV) Hoping they will enable more features.
  • BOSE Sound System - Very good and good enough.
  • Lane Change Assist (Safety)
  • Panoramic Roof (would get even if optional as it helps rear passengers with car sickness and gives more headroom)
  • 25 ft Charging Cable (can never have too much cable)
  • For non-US COLD locations - Heat Pump per @Dee suggestion (Saves energy big time when <5C)

Hoping Porsche Experience Center (LA or Atlanta) delivery option will come back, was $500 in November then disappeared some time in December as an option in USA.

Heat pump is a must-have too as it saves quite some energy during (medium) cold and hot days.
Heat pumps are over 300% efficient...free energy from just the surrounding air!

Dee,
I totally agree. I don't have it on my list for 2 reasons.
  1. Live in California Low-lands and temps are from 55f to 100f (13c-37c)
so would not add anything but weight for me.
  2. Live in USA and it's not even an option in configurator (yet)
But good to mention for other folks! (I updated my list)

I believe the heat pump comes as standard on all US models.

Hi Ron!

Panoramic Roof adds 25kg (!!!) at worst possible place for weights .... would reconsider if optional

Lol, that's only 1% of the car's weight...
Besides, there's 12000Nm available...what are you talking about?
I know it's on the worst possible place but there's plenty of counter weight on the opposite and perfect place to compensate.
I've thought about that too though...;)

I would totally agree if you plan on having only two in the car usually. There is 630kg on the bottom for the battery pack.

That would be interesting, but not shown in standard equipment list. The only 2 heat related things I see are:
  • Electrically adjustable and heatable exterior mirrors
  • Heated rear windshield with "Auto-Off" function
Though I am somewhat confused by Porsche marketing. I have heard in many reviews, talk of the "snake pit" which routes heating and cooling between components as being a unique item to the Taycan. So I assumed that that heats scavenging of some degree was standard on all models.

Seriously - that's the same as 8 gallons of gasoline, on a 5,000+ lb car. There will be no detectable difference in performance whatsoever, by anyone. Get the Pano roof if you like it.

Here's my build. I got an earlier allocation slot that I was planning and had to lock today (although I think I still may have a day or 2). Clearly I was budget-minded in the build but I'd be curious to hear if anyone has any thoughts as to what I may want to substitute for something else? http://www.porsche-code.com/PLW5AY42
