My bad. Heard in another thread that Porsche (VW) owns them. It seems that’s bad info. The ship is owned by Siem Carriers… not Porsche.

Still not sure here. See this post by Volkswagen newsroom. What does “ordered” mean? Unless they meant chartered..No worries; I’m a YouTube expertwatched a few videos on the RoRos and was pretty interesting…

Yes, VW Group Logistics seems to basically “direct” the ships, and, it would seem, only cars for the VW brands are being transported.https://www.volkswagenag.com/en/new...ds-oceans-volkswagen-opts-for-lng-ships.html#
It says in here they partnered with Siem - so not exactly sure of the relationshipbut I guess ownership or not - this relationship would suggest they might have significant sway regardless.
Siem Aristotle and Siem Confucius were commissioned by VW and are operated exclusively for VW. Probably there is some accounting reason that ships that work 100% for VW should be owned by someone else.Yes, VW Group Logistics seems to basically “direct” the ships, and, it would seem, only cars for the VW brands are being transported.
I haven't as of yet. I will probably finance with Delta, they typically have the best rates. From my understanding the lease is really unattractive on this vehicle. I would be interested in a lease If the numbers were right.
Has anyone in Atlanta area secured a loan with Delta Credit union? If so, may I ask your rate and term? Thanks!I haven't as of yet. Not a bad idea! It’s just that I have no idea when I will be going in. I think I’d rather have vehicle in sight before signing any documents. Believe it or not I’m not in any hurry. I’ve waited forever(since June)already….So a ton of us are technically collecting at Hennessy. We should coordinate and show up on the same day for a meet and greet. I know I’m showing up to finalize paperwork before actual collection day.
Thoughts?
