Drivertrain/electronics fail - finally happened.. (updated Jun 17, 2022)

Had the car charged to 85%. Was driving to downtown as usually, and all of a sudden red warning came on to park the car, two errors flashed - drivetrain and electronics.

stopped the car, turned off and on, no changes. And then I noticed that battery % were going down at the rate of 1%/sec, going all the way down to 0 in a few minutes (how can that be possible from physics perspective.. this would imply short circuit for all cells, or malfunction in voltage metering components).

Porsche breakdown assistance sent the flatbed, car now at dealer. Will see how it goes. 22k km and one year, European model my2021, 4s.

luckily that happened in a city and not on a highway..

Hopefully a software issue and cured with a 12V battery disconnect / reconnect.

Update.

they have determined inner error in HV battery, currently talking with Germany about the replacement of it

Any updates on if the issue was fixed? Happened to me on Wednesday, car towed on Thursday since waiting 20 minutes or hours never resolved the issue. Diagnosed today and was told main battery would need to be replaced and waiting for a loaner.

Was also told that this know for "older 2020" models and that the new batteries don't have this problem.

Still waiting for the resolution from factory. Dealer says that battery will be changed. 2 weeks since car in ?

ok its official. High Voltage battery pack is about to be changed. Now waiting to see when the parts will be delivered.. seems it will take another 2 weeks or so.

Replacement battery has arrived finally. Going into the car early next week. Fingers crossed that she’s back on streets soon!

BUT, if your new battery took over 1 month without going across a pond, I wonder how long mine will actually take.

Forget physics, it's mathematically impossible. 85% going down to 0% at 1% per second would only take 85 seconds, which is less than a minute and half, therefore mathematically impossible that it took a few minutes ?

~3MW. Need to figure out how to access that mode for launch. ?

Separately, my wife’s a stickler for couple=2 and few=3, but I use them more colloquially.

Once, I looked out our window and said “There are a couple of ducks outside.”
