Hi. 3 weeks into new Turbo and many issues with electronics and Porsche Connect making me wonder if I should have bought a T. Dealer is recommending disconnecting the battery which they say will not erase any settings but should clear the problem. Does anyone have any experience with this or another fix? Thanks for your help.

the cars are wonky when it comes to the electronics, as long as the glitches do not have any effects of the drivability of the car I would ignore the messages unless the same ones repeatedly appear.

What kind of issues? That's a weird recommendation if you haven't already tried a traditional PCM reboot.

12V battery disconnect (for at least 60 seconds) will reboot all systems (but will save settings). THis is more than just the two finger PCM reboot. I found I had to do this to get factory reset to succeed when dealing with a problem last October-November. Haven't had to do it since.

Hi, thanks for your question..Porsche connect will not show charging stations or range. Also app will not conect to pcm. Settings like air circulation, car sound,to name two, do not repeat on next start after programming. I am told they should. "Hey Porsche is almost worthless...dumber than Siri.park assist works on and off..getting wierd messages requiring a sign in.. and that' sjust a few..all in all, the car is a great ride but the electronics are a mess. thanks for your interest.

Thanks Lewis. That is what the dealer has recommended after they try a few other "fixes".

There are a number of things that can be done to reset the systems in the car. Can you specify your steps for the 12v battery 60 second disconnect?

OK, that's a basket of terrible. Let us know if the 12V disconnect works. I'm not even sure how to do that!

Thanks for the interest. Dealer wants to try a few things first. So many issues with this car. Almost ready to get rid of it. Porsche totally inept with training their sales and tech people. This is my fifth Porsche ( after 911’s)and I doubt I will get another.
