PPF : Front or Whole Car?

Taking delivery of a GTS ST next month. Wondering if I should do just front or whole car PPF. Thoughts?

I only did front. Cost difference was around 3:1 for full vs front. Front protects most of the damage. It wasn’t worth it to me to pay 3x more for the small (if any) reduction in typical damage.

Nothing wrong with full PPF. I just couldn’t justify the cost.

Depending on the color you may want to do whole
Car. The flat paint (non metallic) options will show micro scratches very easily. So you really have to baby it. My Neptune 4s required very careful detailing and washing with just the front done. For my PTS Voodoo Turbo S I’m doing the whole car as it’s also a flat paint and with the full PPF it’s prett Bulletproof

I haven gentian blue and did full front and the 4 side doors only. Front is no brainer, but in the end I decided to add the 4 doors as well to prevent door dings etc. Its not visible in normal day to day conditions.

Oh man black is one color (even metallic) I would consider doing the whole car. Porsche paint is pretty soft the clearcoat shows swirls etc. It will cost you about 2x to do the whole car opposed to the front alone but you’ll never have to worry about it again.

I have cherry metallic, ppf the whole car. My wifes macan (valcano gry) got just the front ppf. Full ppf is so easy to clean compared to just front ppf.

I was quoted $2k for front and $6k for full through my dealer.

Full PPF if you can. Depending on your eye and how picky, it is visible between the paint and the PPF, especially to the touch. If youre not a concours mental case, you won't notice.

It's approximately $6800 for the whole car, $2600 for the front

Agreed. Plus the rear doors will get chipped up without PPF. My Xpel Ultimate already has a few small marks in both rear door hip areas and that's only after ~2K miles.

Doing full car now and realize that in order to have no front door seam above the Mirror you have to pull the mirror off and I’m told that I’ll have to have the side camera recalibrated? It’s only a few hundred$ but a pita to make a service appointment. Has anyone else had this happen/occur. Also shop is saying the back badging may need to be repurchased. I though it was just 3m tape but maybe not.
