Show me your tubes!

Wish there was a bit more flexibility and I could put any of the displays in any of the tubes.
I love the look of the map in the centre (even though I'm using CarPlay to nav most of the time) but I would also like to be able to get the Power Meter displayed too (I like seeing regen amount etc).

Anyone with the HUD? Interested in how that impacts/changes your choice of info to show on the tubes?

For example, when I had a HUD in my Panamera, I would show the ACC car detection on that.

Tire pressure left, map center, system on the right with date, SOC, battery temp, and compass.

HUD has the power meter, nav on right when in use, ACC, lane keep assist, speed and speed limit.

Without the HUD I’d probably want the power meter in the center, and I’d miss the map in center for sure. Counting the instrument panel, main screen, lower screen, HUD and passenger screen I love all the info available at a glance. Spending my professional life in a flight deck, the Taycan makes me feel right at home like no other vehicle I’ve ever been in.

I’m really happy with my current tube setup. I pretty much leave it on this display all of the time (and have for quite a while, since summer sometime).

1. Left: G-Force
2. Center: Power Meter
3. Right: Information w/
   1. Main battery SoC
   2. Main battery temp
   3. Compass
   4. Elevation

How are yours configured?

So I had exactly this set up (except being in the UK I have battery temp is Celsius) but today I decided to mix it up a bit and swapped the g-force meter for assistance systems. I still wanted some g-force info though so I swapped the compass for longitudinal acceleration (i.e. straight line acceleration) in the right hand tube. However, I noticed when I was going uphill at constant speed it was still showing 0.1 g. So my question is this: is the longitudinal acceleration just estimated from the power output rather than the measuring the actual acceleration?

I would assume it’s using an accelerometer and it’s reading gravity from your angle.

Turn your car upright and see what it reads. ?

Yeah, good point. If it was a 10% slope would it then read 0.1g?!? don't know if it works like that

Was it the Gumpert Apollo that supposedly generated so much downforce that you could drive it upside down (like, on the roof of a tunnel)? Wonder what that would do to the g-force meter
