I am still waiting for a build date on my CT 4S 9 months after placing a deposit and I almost never travel on a motorway so only seen one before. On my 500 mile drive from near Aviemore to south Oxfordshire yesterday I saw 2 Taycans, one a Mamba Green 2WD and a dark grey or black CT4. The CT looked much bigger than the saloon to me, must be an illusion.
Makes me even more impatient.

Definitely an illusion (cue the music!).

Still fairly rare which is a good thing to be honest but they are out there.

Just back from Cullen again (sunny as usual) and back to haarsville Aberdeen!

We were up at Loch Insh with all our children and grandchildren and expecting visits from friends and family but Covid stymied us. I visited my brothers on the way up (near Moffat and in Perth) so that was OK but Sheenagh’s best friend got Covid so couldn’t come then one of the grandchildren went down and we had to cancel all other visits and come home :( 500 miles of just me and my dog!

It’s funny when you come across a Taycan in the least expected places, was at screwfix the other day picking up some decking oil and in comes a white Taycan Turbo.

I think it was fate as I had been going back and forward on weather to spec the 20 inch turbo aero wheels. Seeing them in real life sealed the deal in that they are not for me, up close and personal I feel they look too plasticky.

On a sort of related note I placed a deposit down in April 2021 and still have no build slot (partially my own fault as I asked them to guarantee me a MY23 build)…the wait is fatiguing!

Nightmare - I think we've all endured many disruptions and spoiling of social events due to "The COVID" but it is what it is.

Ironically Scotland has persisted with the wearing of masks due to the decree from Dicola (Ms Sturgeon) and cronies which has done nothing in recent weeks but push the number of cases ever higher - but yes, we had to be different and do it her way! Roll on Monday.

Hopefully you get to catch up with your family and friends in totality before too long.

Yep those wheels are rubbish IMHO and MY23 allocations are a couple of months off yet (Q3).

What wheels did you end up picking?

I don’t mind the 20” wheels but they are on too many Taycans. Most 4S and 2WD upgrade to those as it’s a good pram wheel avoidance technique. I did that very thing!

I was actually going to post
‘Do you think Taycans are getting a bit common now?’

I am not in a posh or exclusive area!
Bolton, Lancashire!
I live near my kids school and there are at least 7 Taycans on the school run.
Black, volcano grey or Gentian with 1 Frozen Blue. See them every school day.
A mile away my mate has an ice grey Turbo S.

Didn’t see one on the road on a long drive to Yorkshire and back today but the was a Gentian Turbo parked opposite my destination.

I made a very exclusive 15 mile journey last week from Bolton to that other Jewel of the North, Rochdale (the posh bit, Spotland ) to watch England’s No.1 football team (Up the Dale!) and saw 3 Taycans in 30 minutes.

The North West of England must be Taycan Territory!

Gosh it’s such a long time Frank. I have only seen a few on the roads also. Had to drop the 911 in for repair at Silverstone which they did in 2 days. Saw one there as a demo.
Now I have to wonder if it’s Christmas or Easter … I’m collecting mine on Tuesday from Mid Sussex. Taking my son (actually he’s taking me as I sold the Cayenne).

Going for the RS Spyder wheels, I think they are the best of the 21 inch range on the ST/Saloon. If I was getting a CT it would definitely be the cross turismo design wheels. I know it’s all personal preference but I really feel the Taycan needs 21 inch wheels.

My Taycan is still the only mamba green I’ve seen in real life which is surprising as I think it won the ‘what colour is your Taycan’ poll. Frozen blue seems to be the popular colour in Brighton, I’ve seen at least three. So many Model 3s as well nearly always in white

Before visiting the dealership I played around with the configurator and was all ready to spec the 20 inch turbo aeros. Then I saw the Mission Es in real life and was ‘fuck the extra range, I’m getting them’. I still think the turbo aeros look good when I see a Taycan with them, just nowhere near as good as the Mission Es which (now I may be getting a bit carried away here) are probably the best wheels I’ve seen on any car

A neighbor down the street from me has a Gentian Blue Turbo S. So, not only do I see another Taycan regularly, it’s also the same color as my car and like my car, also sports Mission E wheels. ?

Aren’t those the turbo aero wheels on your car? Or is the car in your avatar not yours?
