Did they give you any specifics on this? Like what kind of update etc.? Is yours at the Benicia port? I assume that the fire isn't impacting the vehicles.

I was originally told the car was damaged by turkey droppings and was in Quality checks due to that. Seems its now a software update

Has anyone had luck getting updates from somewhere other than the dealer?

At Port in Houston. No details on the “software update”.

I received my car today.

My SA said he didn’t know for sure what the stop sale was from, but there was a paper with the car saying an interior sensor had been replaced and a software update had been done.

Update from SA this morning. Still waiting on a truck. Apparently there were a lot of vehicles at the Houston port waiting for the “fix”. Rep at port is hopefully it’ll get out this week.

So, while I wait indefinitely for my CT to be out of port Benicia, I was considering other options like EQS. Used or new, there is a heavy markup. I called one dealer for EQS and SA said 20k markup.
I said "no thank you" (in simple terms) and hung up the phone!

Feels like the wait for CT goes on forever. ?

Just got another update on the situation broadly - (take this with a grain of salt). Apparently the cars are being sent from Germany in various states (some without crucial updates forcing quality control at the port to update the cars to even be able to move them etc.)

Apparently Germany QA/QC is at fault? Not that figuring this out matters

Also - has anyone heard anything saying Porsche AG isn't "responsible" for the cars until they are on the truck in route to dealer (some 1920 Maritime law or something?)??

Do you mean PCNA isnt responsible until they're on trucks? PAG back in Germany would be accountable, I assume, for cars starting at manufacture.

One CT was released from Benicia this week. Porsche Marin is expecting 4 others to be released "soon"
