Do people really spend this on salary sacrifice lease schemes? Surely just cheaper to buy? I pay WAY less than that per month using Porsche's own monthly PCP scheme. Crazy.
Everyone's financial situation is different. I am buying my Taycan outright - but via my ltd company.

Simply not possible using personal cash and besides, I have far better things to spend that on.

My company has surplus cash that either gets depreciated away with rampant inflation - and with nothing to show for it - or it can depreciate at a similar rate with a Porsche company car.

Very limited options to invest company vs personal cash.

For me, it's an indulgence that has some financial logic behind it. That may be the same for someone financing.

Perhaps they are a secret Warren Buffet and need as much spare cash as possible for investing that more than counters borrowing money at 7%+.

So do you think the turbo is worth the extra 200 a month?
This is what I was going to do but couldn't get an allocation for a Turbo within a sensible time frame. I think I would have ended up waiting an extra 12 months so ended up with a 4S. It's fast enough but there are times when I could use more. BTW my wife's got an 8r (bog standard though) and every time I drive it I complain it's slow at all speeds. The 4s would **** all over it. The Turbo wouldn't need to try.

Normally you need to nett off any car allowance that you might get which brings the actual cost down considerably depending on your own circumstances. Then take on board that company deals include maintenance including tyres etc, insurance, tax and typically have a higher mileage profile (great if you have a fixed buyout cost at the end). I'd really struggle to see you better a like for like deal as a private individual.

Porsche pcp quote for the 4s was about £200 more and needed a 10k deposit. With salary sacrifice there’s no deposit. Plus insurance, tyres and maintenance is included. Seems like a better deal than anywhere else I can find. A gts is coming in at £1157 a month

I’ve ordered a turbo on salary sacrifice - it’s a no brainer! £1100 net per month on a £129k car. No deposit no insurance no maintenance !!! That’s why people do it! You could barely buy a £60k BMW for that price on pcp!!

Yeah I’m paying £700 now all in for my 5 series with fuel and insurance etc. now I have the chance to own a dream car

your turbo is cheaper! Base spec for me was around 1300 or just under. I can’t really justify that

Hi all,

I want to get a Taycan on our salary sacrifice scheme through Tusker, I can get a 4s with all the options I want for £1070 ish a month. I turbo is coming in at around £200 more but I’d prob have to cut out a few things like lane assist, pano roof as I didn’t really want to spend 1200 but it’s tempting if the turbo is worth it.
I drove the 4s on Saturday, it was quick but didn’t blow me away above 60, it didn’t feel any quicker than my previous stage 1 golf r or my current stage 2 540i. So do you think the turbo is worth the extra 200 a month?
I'm not sure how hard your itch is itching, but my advice is that if you were to invest those 200 GBP every month, you'd be significantly richer in a few years. I don't think it's worth going into that much debt. It really ties you to your job. You'll be afraid to speak up to your manager/boss because if you risk losing your job you risk your car, house, etc. It's not worth it. If it's really itching buy it, but don't overdo it. Try to learn more about finance and investments, you can become much richer in the (not so far) future and should be able to afford a future Taycan without issues!

Yes, I also wanted a Turbo, because I love power, because I want the best and because having anything that isn't the best is unacceptable, but I settled for the 4S and I know that given the roads here in Romania and the speed limitations, that power will rarely be used.

Yeah I already do invest. I’ve been into crypto for about 5 years now. Even with the gts I’d still have around 1600 left after all bills and car cost of this car so I’d continue to invest still. I’m going to leave the turbo and not spend the extra 200 but the gas for 80 more i think would make me happier

You only have £1600 disposable income after all is said and done? I definitely wouldn’t consider spending over £1000 a month on a car salary sacrifice or not if this was the case.

I definitely recommend you don't look at crypto today either.

So that 1600 would be after the car and all my bills and mortgage has come out, i only spend like 150 a week on food, going out for a meal etc. My old job 6 months ago I only had 600 left after everything so I’m still 1k better off and would have a new Tcyan
