Taycan 4 Cross Turismo changing Automatically to N from D when stopped at the traffic light!

Today (6/22/22), I was at a red light in my 2022 Cross Turismo (2 weeks old car with ~ 200 miles) fully stopped in Drive mode. After a minute, the signal turned Green and the car wouldn’t move. I pressed the accelerator a couple of times without knowing what was going on. Finally I noticed that the vehicle went into Neutral position automatically. I put it back in Drive and drove off.

I am scared to take the car to the road, as I am not sure it will happen when I am driving. I called the Porsche Dealer and was surprised to note that Porsche does not have any software update to fix the issue, as of now. Service Manager's reply -->Taycan can change automatically to N or P when the vehicle is at < 3 mph or stopped in D mode.

So the Car is like a Toy sitting in the Garage!

Known issue. Only happens under 3mph, typically when coming to a stop or already stopped. It's happened to me a handful of times, but doesn't stop me from enjoying the car.

My car has about 1,800 miles on it. This happened to me once while sitting a particularly long stoplight. After a moment of confusion, I put the car back in drive and off I went. The only thing that struck me as odd at the moment was that I didn't hear any revving sound like would normally happen in neutral when the gas peddle is pressed, and then I thought "oh right, no engine. You are pressing the electron peddle you idiot". Old habits...

I will keep an eye out for what I am sure will be a "take it to the dealer for an update" update. Maybe it will be ready with the big PCM update in August.

hi, Thanks. I am just scared that some one would hit me in the rear, if my car could not start at the red light if anything happens in the freeway. The service guy at the Porsche dealer said, there is no fix right (or no software update) now.
